If you get this message and you do not have an e-mail client such as Eudora, Netscape, or the like, do the following

Log onto a a UNIX machine of the department; If you are not sure of a name, use login.cs.umu.se to give a recommended system.
cd /var/mail
cat .$USER.pop >>$USER
rm .$USER.pop
rm $USER.lock*

If this does not work, repeat the above steps and then do the following.

mv $USER $USER.save
cp $USER.save $USER
rm $USER.save
