Free Microsoft software
The membership of the Department of Computing Science in Dreamspark For Academic Institutions(earlier MSDNAA) means that instructors, and researchers have access, without cost, to almost all Microsoft software for download to their own Windows computers.

What about students?
Umeå university also owns a membership for Dreamspark. ITS handles the membership for all university students. Including students at the Department of Computins Science and TekNat faculty. More about dreamspark access HERE

Dreamspark is a service which Microsoft offers to chosen academic institutions within the field of computing science, among others. With the exception of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Games virtually all Microsoft software is available to the students and employees of the University and department through Dreamspark.
