No, that is not necessary, but your On The Hub account will be deactivated at the end of the course. In other words, you will no longer be able to download new software. This also means that it will not be possible to re-install such software, should that become necessary. Remember also that software which you have installed on your computer continues to be subject to the Dreamspark license agreement to which you are bound. The license is still strictly for your personal and non-commercial use.
