Report writing using LaTeX

Pedher Johansson has written a LaTeX-template and sty-file that have adjusted the tradtional article and report templates to UmU's graphical profile. The zip-archive includes two example tex files, one for report and one for article. It also includes an example of a bib-file.
For editing there is always vi..., but for your sanity there exists some alternatives. In the Unix/Linux environment, Kile, workes well. and in Windows there is the traditional MiKTeX and for Mac you have MacTex. An interesting alternative is sharelatex wich basically works as Gooogle Docs but for LaTeX.

UmU has produced a set of templates for writing reports in Word. Here is also a template in ODF (e.g. for Open/Libre Office or latest Word)
